Quick answer
To get started with BIP, create your account at dash.bip.marketing (no card), check the sender and timezone in Settings, import your contacts from a spreadsheet, build a segment and send your first email campaign. You get 1,000 free sends per month; WhatsApp and your own domain come with the paid plan.
What you need
- An email address to create the account
- A computer (the dashboard is built for large screens)
- A spreadsheet (CSV, XLS or XLSX) with name, email and, if you have it, phone
- 15 minutes
What you'll get
Go from zero to an imported list, a segment that updates itself and your first campaign sent. Everything you do here is free: storing contacts, segmenting and your first 1,000 sends of the month.
How it works
- 1Create your account and check your settings
- 2Import your contact spreadsheet
- 3Build the segment and send the campaign
Step by step
1. Create your account
- Open dash.bip.marketing/signup and enter your name, email, location and password.
- On the next screen, create your namespace. Each namespace is a separate account, with its own contacts, campaigns and team. Fill in Account Name with your brand name and choose the Language and Timezone.
- You land in the dashboard, already inside the new account. To switch accounts later, use the selector at the top of the sidebar.
2. Check your settings
In Settings, General tab:
- Account Name and Namespace (the identifier that shows up in the URL and in the site script).
- Email From (Name) and Email From (Address): the default sender. On the free plan, emails go out from
no-reply@bip.marketingwith the name you choose. To send from your own domain, see Your own sending domain. - Timezone: the account's default timezone, used as the reference for dates in segments. Each campaign has its own timezone selector.
- Language: the dashboard language in this browser.
- Fields: create the custom fields your spreadsheet brings here (for example, Date of birth of type Date, City of type Location, Plan of type String). If you import before creating the fields, those columns are left out.
3. Import your contacts
- In Leads, click Import Leads.
- Upload the CSV, XLS or XLSX. BIP reads the first row as the header.
- Map the columns: link each column to name, email, phone, tags or a custom field. Unmapped columns are ignored.
- Add the batch tags (for example
import-2026,trade-show-april). They go on every contact in this import and help you segment later. - If the spreadsheet has phone numbers without the country code, choose the default code (Brazil: +55).
- Validate: BIP shows errors and warnings per row (invalid email, incomplete phone). Fix them in the spreadsheet or move on; valid rows go in even if others fail.
- Click Import N Record(s) and follow the progress bar.
BIP doesn't create duplicates: anyone who already exists by email or phone is updated, not created again. Empty cells don't erase what the contact already has. The full walkthrough is in Import contacts.
4. Build your first segment
- In Segments, click New Segment.
- In Settings, give the segment a Name.
- Open the Filter Editor, click Add Criteria and use Tags → Includes any → the batch tag you imported.
- Close the editor: BIP shows how many contacts match and lists them.
- Click Save.
Segments are dynamic: anyone who starts meeting the rules gets in, and anyone who stops meeting them drops out. A recurring campaign recalculates the segment before each send.
5. Create the email template
- In Emails Templates, click New Template. The editor opens with a ready-made template to edit.
- Build the email with blocks: heading, text, image, button, divider, grid, signature and social networks. Each block has its own background color, margins and alignment.
- In the text, type
@to insert contact data (name, fields, KPIs), with a Fallback Value for anyone who doesn't have that data. - Fill in Subject and Preview (the line that shows next to the subject in the inbox).
- Click Preview → Send Preview Email to get the email in your own inbox before using it.
- Click Save. The full walkthrough is in Email editor.
6. Send your first campaign
- In Campaigns, click New Campaign.
- Fill in the Campaign Name and, if you like, Group and Description.
- Under Schedule Type, leave One-time. Without a Start Date, the campaign goes out as soon as you activate it; with a date, Time and Timezone, it goes out at that moment.
- Under Channel, choose Email and select the Email Template. The account's default sender is already filled in.
- Under Segments, add the segment from step 4. You can pick several; anyone in more than one gets the email only once.
- Click Save → Save Draft, then Test Campaign. Enter your email (it must already be in Leads) and click Send Test.
- Click Save → Save and Send and confirm with Send Campaign Now.
The full walkthrough, with recurring campaigns and API triggers, is in Campaigns.
How to measure
After the send, BIP opens the Campaign Stats. You see processed, delivered, opens, clicks, opt-outs and errors, plus the 10 most-clicked links and the status of each recipient. Opens in the first 30 seconds after sending don't count (they're automatic previews from some providers), and bot clicks are filtered out.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a credit card to get started?
No. The free account includes 1,000 sends per month, renewed every period. Storing contacts doesn't use sends. You only buy volume when you want to send more. See Plans and limits.
What counts as a send?
Each contact a campaign reaches. Importing, storing and segmenting contacts don't use sends, and neither do campaign tests. The details are in Plans and limits.
Can I send on WhatsApp with the free account?
No. WhatsApp campaigns and your own sending domain are available on any paid plan. See Connect WhatsApp.
Does the dashboard work on mobile?
The dashboard is built for computers. On small screens, like a phone, it shows the message Sorry, we are not ready for mobile yet. The communication preferences your contacts open from your emails do work on mobile.
