# Connect Easy Auth to BIP and receive your Wi-Fi visitors

> In the Easy Auth Dashboard, click bip.marketing, check name, language and time zone, pick the EasySpot fields and authorize. BIP creates a Lite account with 1,000 free sends a month, the fields, the API key and the webhook that brings each visitor into Leads. Creation Date is the first visit; Last Updated, the latest.

<UseCaseMeta effort="nocode" plan="free" />

Every person who joins your Wi-Fi can become a contact ready for your campaigns. With Easy Auth connected to BIP, the visitor identifies themselves on the EasySpot and shows up in **Leads** right away, with no spreadsheets and no copy and paste.

<Checklist items="An Easy Auth license (Standard or PRO) and access to the Dashboard|An EasySpot that asks for the visitor's phone or email (the name is always requested)|A BIP user, or a few minutes to create one on the spot, no credit card needed" />

## What you'll get

- A BIP account linked to your license, created in one click, on BIP Lite with 1,000 free sends a month.
- Every Wi-Fi visitor in **Leads**, with name, email and phone. The phone arrives with the country code, ready for WhatsApp.
- The EasySpot fields you choose (birthdate, gender, city, text and numbers) as custom fields, ready for segmenting.
- No duplicates: people who come back to your Wi-Fi are updated on the same contact.
- Two dates that tell each visitor's story: **Creation Date** is the first visit and **Last Updated**, the most recent one.

## How it works

<Steps items="Click bip.marketing in the Easy Auth Dashboard|Check the account and choose the EasySpot fields|Every visitor who connects becomes a contact in BIP" />

When you authorize, BIP creates the account, the fields and an API key, and registers a webhook in Easy Auth that points to BIP. From then on, with every connection, Easy Auth sends the visitor to `https://api.bip.marketing/api/leads`.

BIP recognizes the visitor by **phone** or **email**:

- on the first connection, it creates the contact, and the **Creation Date** marks that visit;
- on later connections, it updates the same contact: it adds new phones and emails, updates the name and the fields with what came from the EasySpot, and **Last Updated** now marks the latest visit.

<Callout type="tip">
The automatic webhook brings in the contact and the fields. It doesn't send tags, KPIs or metadata, and it doesn't trigger campaigns. To respond at connection time (a welcome, the offer of the day), you create your own webhook in Easy Auth that calls an **API Trigger** campaign. See [API](/en-us/api).

## Step by step

### 1. Click bip.marketing in the Easy Auth Dashboard

1. Sign in to the Easy Auth Dashboard at app.easyauth.net.
2. At the bottom of the side menu, click **bip.marketing** (_Take your leads to the next level_).
3. Easy Auth generates secure access and opens BIP at `dash.bip.marketing/easyauth-authorize`, already linked to your license.

<Shot src="/img/wifi-conectar-easy-auth/1-en-us.png" alt="bip.marketing button at the bottom of the side menu in the Easy Auth Dashboard" url="app.easyauth.net" />

### 2. Sign in to BIP

If you're already signed in to BIP, the authorization screen opens right away. If not:

1. BIP opens the sign-in screen. Enter your email and password and click **Signin**, or use **Sign in with OTP instead** to get a code by email.
2. Don't have a user yet? Click **Sign up**, fill in **Full Name**, **Email**, **Location**, **Password** and **Confirm Password**, and click **Sign Up**.
3. After you sign in or sign up, BIP takes you back to the authorization screen on its own.

<Shot src="/img/wifi-conectar-easy-auth/2-en-us.png" alt="BIP sign-in screen with Signin, Sign in with OTP instead and Sign up" url="dash.bip.marketing/signin" />

### 3. Check the name, language and time zone

The authorization screen shows the Easy Auth logo and tells you that BIP will create the account, sync the fields and set up the webhook for you.

1. **Account Name**: comes filled in with the license name. Change it if you like, for example to _Padaria Aurora_. It's the name shown in the account selector and as the sender of your emails.
2. **Language**: the screen opens set to **English**. Keep **English** so the account starts with groups and topics in English.
3. **Timezone**: BIP suggests your computer's time zone. For Brasília time, it's **America/Sao_Paulo (-03:00)**. It defines what "today" means in segment date criteria.

<Shot src="/img/wifi-conectar-easy-auth/3-en-us.png" alt="Authorization screen with Account Name, Language and Timezone" url="dash.bip.marketing/easyauth-authorize" />

### 4. Choose the fields that go to BIP

In the list of fields to create in the account, BIP shows the fields from your EasySpot:

1. The standard fields (**Name**, **Phone** and **Email**) are always checked. They fill in the contact's core data.
2. The other fields become custom fields. Next to each one, BIP shows the type it will create (see the table in [Reference](#reference)).
3. Uncheck anything you don't want in BIP. If you like, rename the field: that name is what shows up in **Settings** → **General** → **Fields** and in segment criteria.

<Shot src="/img/wifi-conectar-easy-auth/4-en-us.png" alt="List of EasySpot fields with the type BIP will create for each one" url="dash.bip.marketing/easyauth-authorize" />

### 5. Authorize and create the account

1. Click **Authorize & Create Account**.
2. BIP shows **Account created successfully!** and opens the new account. You're signed in as an admin.
3. The account identifier (the namespace) is `easyauth-` followed by your license label. It shows up in the URL and in **Settings** → **General**.

Changed your mind? **Decline** cancels without creating anything and takes you back to the sign-in screen.

<Shot src="/img/wifi-conectar-easy-auth/5-en-us.png" alt="Account created by Easy Auth open in the BIP panel" url="dash.bip.marketing/easyauth-…" />

### 6. Check what BIP created

1. In **Settings** → **General**, go to **Fields**: the fields you checked are there, with the types from the reference table.
2. In **Settings** → **API Keys**, you'll find the **EasyAuth API Key**, active, with the **Leads Write** scope.
3. In **Settings** → **Groups** and **Topics**, the account already comes with ready-to-use groups and topics.

<Callout type="warning">
Don't deactivate or delete the **EasyAuth API Key**, and don't set an expiration date on it. It's how Easy Auth delivers your visitors: without the key active, new visitors stop coming in.
</Callout>

### 7. Watch the visitors come in

1. Connect a phone to the Wi-Fi and go through the EasySpot, or wait for the next visitor.
2. In **Leads**, sort by **Updated (Newest)**. Whoever just connected appears at the top, for example _Marina Alves_.
3. The **Creation Date** column shows the first visit; **Updated Date**, the most recent one.
4. Click the contact to see the phone, email and, under **Fields**, the EasySpot data.

## Ready to copy

In **Segments**, click **New Segment** and add the criteria below. For relative dates, click the value, turn on **Relative** in **Date Mode**, fill in **Relative Time** in **Days** (a negative number means the past) and leave **Start of Day** on.

### Today's visitors

Everyone who connected today, new or returning.

| Criterion    | Operator        | Value                          |
| ------------ | --------------- | ------------------------------ |
| Last Updated | After or equals | Relative: 0 days (**Today**) |

### Came back today

First visit before today and a new connection today. Use the **All (AND)** group.

| Criterion     | Operator        | Value                          |
| ------------- | --------------- | ------------------------------ |
| Creation Date | Before          | Relative: 0 days (**Today**)   |
| Last Updated | After or equals | Relative: 0 days (**Today**) |

### Missing for 30 days

People who haven't connected in more than 30 days.

| Criterion    | Operator | Value               |
| ------------ | -------- | ------------------- |
| Last Updated | Before   | Relative: -30 days  |

<Callout type="tip">
**Last Updated** also changes when you edit the contact or update it through an import or the API. In an account that only receives Easy Auth visitors, it marks the last connection. If you also import spreadsheets, separate the Wi-Fi visitors with **First / Last Source** → **First Source (Type)** → **Equals** → **API**.
</Callout>

## How to measure

- In **Leads**, sort by **Updated (Newest)**: visitors appear at the top as they connect.
- Create the **Today's visitors** segment. The live count shows how many people connected today; compare day by day.
- In Easy Auth, under **Webhooks**, click **View Logs**: every request to `https://api.bip.marketing/api/leads` appears with **Status**, **Topic**, **URL** and **Hour**. In **View Request**, the **Response Body** contains the contact's `id` in BIP.

## Frequently asked questions

### Do visitors who already used the Wi-Fi come along?

No. The integration brings in visitors from their next connection on. To bring in your existing base, export it from Easy Auth (**Statistics** → **Users** tab → **Download** → **Csv** or **Excel**) and import it into BIP. Anyone already in BIP with the same phone or email is updated, with no duplicates. For those contacts, the **Creation Date** is the import date. See [Import contacts](/en-us/import-contacts).

### Does the integration already send a welcome to people who connect?

No. The automatic webhook brings in the contact and the fields; it doesn't send tags, KPIs or metadata, and it doesn't trigger campaigns. To send a message at connection time, create an **API Trigger** campaign in BIP and, in Easy Auth, your own webhook that calls `POST https://api.bip.marketing/api/campaigns/trigger`. Use a new API key with **Campaigns Trigger** and **Leads Write**: the **EasyAuth API Key** only has **Leads Write**. See [API](/en-us/api).

### Does receiving visitors use up sends?

No. Receiving, storing and segmenting contacts doesn't count. Only the email or WhatsApp message that goes out to a person counts. The account starts on BIP Lite with 1,000 free sends a month; WhatsApp and your own sending domain come with the paid plan. See [Plans and limits](/en-us/plans-and-limits).

### I clicked bip.marketing again. Does BIP create another account?

No. Each Easy Auth license has one BIP account. If it already exists, BIP shows **Namespace already exists** and takes you back to the panel.
